If so, maybe hyperlocal isn’t the way to save them. That’s what Tim DeChant’s suggesting, anyway, and given the rise of hyperlocal sites like Patch, maybe he has a point. All I know is I’m glad I’m not in the newspaper business right now.

Of course, it’s entirely appropriate and quite perfect that this is a banana slicer and not a hard-boiled egg slicer or an apple slicer. I mean, what else would it be?
