As of tomorrow, California-based Internet retailers will need to begin collecting taxes and ponying back to the state. The LA Times reports. Groups like the Performance Marketing Association are complaining loudly and retailers are saying they’ll fight this, but my guess is that it’s only a matter of time before this is standard practice in all 50 states.
