Time suck alert: This site presents a whole bunch of … well, of old magazine articles, and I bet you can find a dozen or more things you want to read right away after about 30 seconds of looking. I know I did.
Adweek asks whether the upcoming royal wedding will “break the Internet,” and I have to confess that the question disturbs me a bit.
I genuinely can’t think of too many things I care less about than the royal wedding. I suppose I’m not alone, but I’m clearly in the vast minority … which isn’t what bothers me.
What’s sorta troubling is that so many people do care about it that “breaking the Internet” even becomes an issue.
I don’t mean to be harsh and I don’t mean to judge, but — really? Do that many people lack better things to do? Me, I’d rather watch Fred Astaire than Prince William. (And if you love that scene embedded above as much as so many do, you might want to check out this deconstruction video that illustrates how it was done.)
