PaidContent.org reports that The Huffington Post is launching Twitter editions, the primary purpose of which is “to harness the social networking aspects of the site to create a real-time news service for each of HuffPo’s 19 sections.”

I made the move from magazine publishing to Web communications back in 1996, and it was not a minute too soon: Today, AdAge reports (and HuffPo comments) that last year, and for the first time ever, more advertising dollars were spent online than were spent on magazines.
