… on the Web today is the American Express OPEN Forum. Sure, they’re ultimately trying to sign up more people and more businesses for more credit cards, but the OPEN Forum has developed into a solid library of articles and videos about everything from social media to branding to team building and more. There’s no single resource that has all the answers about anything, but OPEN is a good place to go for opinion and tips about nearly any business issue you’re facing today. It’s definitely worth bookmarking.

It’s something to always keep in mind, of course, but it’s worth remembering once more in light of this article in today’s NY Times. Entitled, “How Privacy Vanishes Online,” it’s a good read. Among the troubling points made:
“In a paper published last year, Alessandro Acquisti and Ralph Gross reported that they could accurately predict the full, nine-digit Social Security numbers for 8.5 percent of the people born in the United States between 1989 and 2003 — nearly five million individuals.”
Privacy: It ain’t what it used to be.
