And the Oscar for Foolishness Goes To …
February 28th, 2007… the Academy, which has asked YouTube to yank clips from the Oscars, yet ought to be thankful that anyone wants to post anything from its four-hour borefest the other night. After all, who needs free advertising? Then again, what do you expect from an Academy that says of the clips on its own site, “the current clips will eventually vanish, to ‘whet people’s appetite for next year’s show.'” Whet people’s appetite?! Yeah, nothing like an absence of content to make me want to see more.
