Crap Cleaner

Gotta love the hippo

I recently heard about CrapCleaner, which is an excellent tool for helping keep your machine running cleaner and faster. It’s the most popular download over on FileHippo.com, which itself is well worth a bookmark.

W'd probably get outbid in the last 5 seconds

Forget the Iraq Study Group — maybe President Bush ought to try eBay. (The above ad is what resulted for me when I used Google to search for “exit strategy.”)

Smmmmmmokin'!

Nick Naylor would probably appreciate this site, a gallery of tobacco advertising worldwide that would make the MOD Squad proud. It’s actually a fascinating collection of how cigarettes are and have been marketed worldwide.

Dr. Wayne Dyer

“It makes no sense to worry about things you have no control over because there’s nothing you can do about them, and why worry about things you don’t control? The activity of worrying keeps you immobilized.”

Gecko or Caveman?

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

I'll hae the roast gecko, with the mango salsa ...

I like both of Geico’s characters. But I wondered: Which one is more popular among the general public?

In an informal LOHAD online poll (margin of error +/- 100 percent), the caveman was preferred over the gecko by a 2-1 margin. Fourteen percent responded: “Yuck, hate ’em both,” with one gecko supporter adding: “I am waiting for a chick gecko to give him a run for his money.”

Late-breaking news: In a voting surge, the gecko has sprinted to a lead over the caveman by a similar 2-1 margin, prompting concerns about the electronic process used to tally these votes. The “yuck” votes are holding steady at about 20 percent. In the battle between caveman and gecko, I declare it a draw … for now.
