Bah, Humbug!
August 27th, 2006My wife was running some errands yesterday. She went into a TJ Maxx. They had Christmas stuff displayed.
Christmas stuff in August. August. It’s August! Look at the calendar, people, it’s August!
Ahh! Ahhhhhh! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Vote with your pocketbook. Companies that start marketing holidays too early earn a 3-month boycott from me. I also let them know at the store and via their web site.
Sometimes it even gets you credits for free products as a side effect.

Well, since TJ Maxx is selling clothing styles from the 70’s, what’s the surprise?
It’s 2006, not 1970. 2006! Look at the calendar, folks, it’s 2006!
Ahh! Ahhhh! Ahhhhhhhhh!

Wow, pretty soon they’ll be like car companies who want to introduce the 2008 models when it’s still 2006. I won’t buy it! It could creep up to Christmas stuff in June, May, or April!

Has anyone suggested to TJ Maxx that they could leave their Xmas lights up all year ’round as well? That might create an added comfort level for their constituency.
