The Economist ran an article about search the other day that’s worth reading. Not a lot of surprises — Google’s the horse in the lead by six lengths, and everyone’s out to catch it. The numbers reported don’t exactly match, but generally echo, the numbers PC Advisor reported last week.

This bit, though, is particularly interesting: “Google also has velocity: its market share grew by 17% in the four quarters to this spring, whereas Yahoo! and MSN both lost share.”
