Copyscape is a great tool and will work in some situations better than others, but I still favor Google Alerts (http://www.google.com/alerts) for plagiarism detection. If you take the time to find a unique phrase to search for, you get unlimited email alerts about when it gets posted online, for free.
Seems like a sensible trade off since Copyscape’s paid service that does the same thing can be very expensive. Also, I’ve found that Copyscape missed several cases of plagiarism of my work that Google was able to pick up easily.
Just something to consider.
