For years, I’ve been seeing placeholder text that begins with “Lorem ipsum dolor…” and have occasionally wondered why that and not something else, where did it come from and what does it all mean? Maybe you’ve wondered, too. Here’s the answer.

Lorem Ipsum RAWKS!
While working for a Big Agency during the “success” days of TheTruth.com, I used to sit down with the creative director of all that work daily. He would rant and rave about his trips to Africa and Sri Lanka, and the Bronx and South Central, and on and on about stuff I couldn’t follow because he was so engrossed in the process.
I’d stare at his face and tattoos and awards, and realize I was in the presence of greatness. Genius man, Jim Marcus is. And on his door?
