Deo Ac Veritati

Colgate

“Deo Ac Veritati.” They say that translates as, “God went to Colgate.” Maybe he did. It sure is God’s country up here in Hamilton. But now that graduation day has come and gone, only He knows where the jobs are … where I’ll be in a year … where any of us will wind up in a year or two … or (shudder) five years from now!

Still, it’s time to start thinking about — well, if not about the future, at least about a paycheck. I did a pretty good job on the paper and the radio station … something in media … yeah, that doesn’t sound too bad …

Very funny! My son just graduated from Colgate a week ago, and got some overpriced pajama pants from the Bookstore. On them was the Colgate motto, Deo ac Veritati. When we did a Google search to see just what the heck it meant, we came across your post. Very appropriate today.

Congratulations, Liz, to both you and your son … feels like just yesterday we were carrying the torches around the lake … unreal
